Fox's press release for the Big East stated FS1 would carry 100 college basketball games. It didn't say 100 Big East games.

My guess is there will be Tier levels on the games. Tier 1 being the FS1 channel, Tier 2 being on the FS2 channel, and Tier 3 being on the regional Fox channels.

Butler article indicating that most Big East games should be televised on Fox Sports.

This guy seems to think that Fox Sports 1 will show over 100 Big East games next year....

Provided the competitors can make a profit while overpaying...maybe.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

If ESPN is in trouble then what could you possibly expect for FS1. FS1 has zero I repeat ZERO chance of moving market share in college hoops or amy other sports category...it makes no matter how many NBE fans tune in...there isn't enough of you to move the needle.

One key production signing by Fox Sports 1 -- and this transaction has caused a little bad blood between Fox Sports and the NFL Network -- is Fox's hiring of former NFL Network producer Bardia Shah-Rais. One ESPN-er who worked with Shah-Rais called him "the best hire Fox Sports 1 has made so far." Shah-Rais is expected to play a major role in the production Fox Sports 1's Big East package. "He's phenomenal, and that's an understatement," said one NFL Network staffer. "It's a huge loss for us."

Shah-Rais isn't the only behind-the-scenes NFL Network staffer now at Fox Sports 1. Earlier this year, Fox hired Kent Camera, a coordinating producer for NFL Network, for an executive role in production. It's important to note both Camera and Shah-Rais previously worked at Fox Sports, so this is somewhat of a homecoming for each.

I'm pretty sure Shah-Rais is a guy. Sorry if someone else already pointed this out.

Not alone, but paired with Big XII, Pac-12, UFC, NASCAR and soon to be B1G in a few years. (You know they are signing with the people who they are partners with on the BTN.)

let's just cut to the chase, just because Fox is NBE partner doesn't make ESPN the enemy. I'm a huge News Corp person but when it comes to sports on the air ESPN would be everyone's 1st choice if all things are equal, they're iconic. ESPN isn't alone in their struggles...it's worldwide, huge changes and a real tug of war playing out on all fronts in broadcast biz. Wishing bad things for ESPN wont bring good things for FS1.
