Nice. We've got a great soccer league. Hopefully Marquette gets back to its winning ways this season.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I hope Coach Bolowich has something up his sleeve this year. Creighton loses a lot, including the best player in college soccer last year (I know they gave the award to Morris, but that was BS), and one of the better goalies in the country as well. Spring season was less than stellar, to say the least. Will have some new pieces this fall. It will be interesting to see if they can put it together.

The preseason polls are just a reflection of the end of last year. They're way worse than the basketball polls preseason. But it's nice to have the respect. I expect it to come down to the Crieghton Georgetown game that ends the season.

Hoyas play 3 top 10 teams this year including Crieghton. All on the road. Ouch.

going to be a really competitive league.

Providence is very underrated in the national polls.

Personally I think CU takes a pretty big step back this year. Hope I'm wrong.

CU beat Missouri State 2-0 in exhibition game, but here was Coach Bolowich's assessment (quotes from Omaha World Herald):

“Awful, awful performance by a Creighton team. Probably the worst since I’ve been here in terms of playing the game."

“We are only a week in in our preseason preparation, but there was zero intelligence on the field, unfortunately. It was just a huge setback.”

“I think it was a combination of everything. It was a lack of focus, a lack of respect for the game and for the opposition.

“The reason why is because you really couldn’t find one player who did his job well on our team. You’re just, right now, giving yourself a great workout, and you come out with nothing.”

Ouch - I'm thinking first words to his players might have been something like "don't bother brining your soccer ball to practice tomorrow."

Creighton got blasted by Wisconsin 3-1 on Friday. Like I said above, I expect the Jays to take a big step back this season.
