Former 2014 PC recruit Terrell Gets Release from OK St

Never could understand why he committed there in the first place. Didn't seem right at the time. They didn't have a coaching change at OSU so I wonder what happened...this from trom CBSSPorts:

"Not a good fit at this time," Expressions Elite coach Ty Boswell said in a text message....Now back on the market, Terrell becomes one of the best available prospects in the class of 2014.

or maybe this is why:

Oklahoma State signee Jared Terrell has requested and been granted a release from his letter of intent because of unforeseen circumstances with his family, the university announced Friday. Terrell, a guard at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, signed with OSU in November.

"I think it's better that Jared stay close to home, due to the recent passing of his grandmother, along with other family issues we've been dealing with," said Terrell's mother, Michelle Ross. "It's been hard on our family, and this is a tough decision to make. Jared was looking forward to attending Oklahoma State, but this is what's best for our family at this time."

Terrell originally chose OSU over PC and URI.
Seems that he wants to stay close to home and PC, URI, and BC are the main targets.
He was originally being recruited by Preston Murphy at URI, who has since moved on to become and assistant at BC.
URI still involved because they have the need, and minutes available
BC now very much involved because they also have the minutes, play in a bigger conference, and has the coach he developed a relationship with previously at URI.
PC remains in the mix. We need a pg more than a sg at this point, but you take the talent.

Hopefully Graham and Terrell sign up for PC.

What a coup it would be if Cooley could add two more top 100 recruits this late in the signing period.

Cox Sports handicaps the 3 New England schools on Terrell's short list:

While Terrell had no official list as of Friday night, local perception has swirled that Rhode Island, Providence, and Boston College could all be potential landing spots. Here’s a look at how realistic those scenarios could be:

The Friars recruited Terrell as one half of a potential package deal with Abdul-Malik Abu the first time around and so when it became clear Abu was headed elsewhere, their chances of landing Terrell became immediately slim. That hasn’t been the case the second time around as Ed Cooley has zeroed in on his target like he is known to do and erased any concerns Terrell had about how much Providence may have wanted him. The opportunity is also far different than it appeared the first time around. Last summer Providence already had a pair of talented young guards on the roster in Kris Dunn and Brandon Austin, but with Dunn suffering his second consecutive shoulder injury and Austin transferring, there is now a very immediate opportunity for Terrell to come in and contend for immediate playing time.

Terrell was on the BC campus today and they are being reported as the favorite.

If he wants playing time, I guess that's the place to go. However, I hope he doesn't care about playing time in the Big Dance because I do not see BC dancing over the next four years. If BC does dance within the next four years then their new coach did a fantastic job.
