Question for Creighton fans

Are Wichita State fans as rude to everyone else as they are to SLU fans?

You guys deal with them more than anyone, so your opinions are most appreciated.

They are the absolute worst fans in all of college sports. Even if the new conference didn't present all of the benefits it does, just getting away from WSU fans would be worth leaving the MVC for most Creighton fans.

I find it odd that SLU fans run into them often though....

they are the worst fans in college basketball. Diddo to the guy above...i would do anything to get away from them. If you go to a game in wichita they spit on the creighton fans and the team when they are walking into the tunnel. All around awful people.

I find it odd that SLU fans run into them often though....

Been running into some on other C7 boards recently. Their whole "schtick" is ripping on SLU on those boards. Funny, because last I checked, Creighton is the only MVC team that's being considered.

Wichita Fans are the worst. They have a HUGE inferiority complex because KU dominates the state (and their town) yet all the do is banter on and on how great they are... kinda reminds me A LOT of VCU fans on this board... (although they are still not half as bad as WSU fans) I hope that:

1. Creighton goes to BE
2. VCU Does NOT

Maybe WSU and VCU can just go independent since they are the two best programs in the country according to their fan bases

I thought it odd that WS fans had it against SLU but i guess here in KY we don't have many shocker fans running rabid. Interesting the UK and UofL fans are generally supportive of SLU and really all of the C7+ i can't think of a bad word i've heard about any of the schools and thats coming from two fan bases of programs that are heads and heels over at least 90% of all college BB. Then again maybe they are just to busy bickering amongst themselves to worry about such petty matters.

I lived in Lexington for awhile, and if it wasn't Louisville, they were happy for the rest of the country. Wichita has it in for SLU...which is why I'm hoping that SLU and Creighton both go C7 and leave them in the Valley with no one around them.

Yeah i'd love to see Creighton in the C7... the valley is going to be interesting... once this move happens there will be some major changes in the mid-majors and lower... the Summit (MCC) is thinking about adding FCS if thats the case they may make a play for the FCS Mo Valley teams... or it could happen the other way around. When UMKC left for the WAC i shook my head in disbelief... now it kind of makes sense odd chance the shockers as a BB only might be odd man out in the valley and go WAC themselves, maybe see if Denver wants to relocate again and suck up ORU. You would end up with a Valley FCS conference and decent lil basketball conference in the WAC. But at this point that is only guessing on my part sides the Summit FCS rumors.

Then again there was rumor a month ago that Evansville might go Horizon and possibly Bradly and Drake as well makes more sense the more i think about it. But as realignment goes what makes the most sense is sometimes the least likely to happen.

I'd say SLU fans are easily the rudest, trashiest, most classless fans in the A10. Maybe behind only Charlotte, but it would be a close one.

I have many, MANY more such examples from the CBI tournament (vandalized cars, assaults, etc). It would be one thing if these were the result of heated rivalry games, but they're not.

The fish rots from the head down, and considering who SLU has chosen to keep around as their last two head coaches, this isn't surprising in the slightest.

This is has been the case for sometime:

Evansville has had some "class acts" as opponents over the years. St. Louis ws NOT one of them.

St. Louis always showed poor sportsmanship both from the St L players and from the fans. Crews will have to be outstanding to overcome that fact.

Evansville should strive to schedule "class acts" such as Butler. Classy all the way whether it be win, lose or draw.

The nastiest fans on the planet were the Billikens in the old MCC. Indiana tires got slashed, continuous banging of a beer keg on the floor when the opponent had the ball and absolutely obscene billboard signs. Can't tell you what they wanted Hafner to do. This is karma.

I agree on how horrible the SLU fans were back in the MCC. Considering how generally classy Cardinal fans are, I never understood where this group of idiots came from. But, that was nearly 20 years ago, and honestly, I always thought Rich Grawer was the biggest D-Bag in the league. I am sure most of that behavior was a reflection of the coach.

​It's not been a good year so far for Saint Louis University's reputation as a tolerant place to go to school. Racial slurs have been scrawled on walls and a student's door was vandalized. Another student was called a nigger and threatened with a lynching. A cross decorated by the Rainbow Alliance, a LGBT group, was stolen. Most recently, two student government leaders resigned after photos of them posing with a makeshift noose went public.
