Carrington, who is committed to Seton Hall, hit a free throw with 17 seconds left to give the Lions a four-point lead and the victory. Carrington was 9-for-15 from the field and finished with a game-high 12 rebounds for a double-double. “From the tip my shot was falling so I just tried to keep it going and tried to get some easy baskets,” he said. “I kept it going for the whole game so I guess it was a good night for me.”

Bishop Loughlin (NY) dominated play on both ends of the court Saturday night to advance to the 2013 Beach Ball Classic semifinals with a 71-46 victory over Franklin (OH). Bishop Loughlin (5-1) never trailed in the contest and built leads as large as 25 points as they were able to contain Franklin’s Luke Kennard, the number one rated junior by most in the nation. Kennard connected on just 3-of-11 shots from the field but did hit 9-of-10 free throws for 15 points, well below his average of over 40 points per game.

Khadeen Carrington and Bishop Loughlin owned Brooklyn/Queens on Friday night. And at the pace the Lions' star is playing at, it may not be long before the rest of the city belongs to them, too...Carrington showed Christ the King why he deserved to be the league's MVP, scoring a career-high 42 points as Loughlin trounced the Royals, 90-71, in the championship game of the CHSAA Brooklyn/Queens tournament at St. Francis Prep.
"Personally, for me, it was a great game," said Carrington, who is headed to Seton Hall. "It was a great game for the team and we tried to beat them when it count(ed), which is tonight."...Carrington missed only four of his 19 shots and was getting to the line with ease. He was able to control the tempo of the game and had Christ the King in early foul trouble, which made it a lot easier for him to get to the rim.
