And also I think you might have to at least mention Florida Atlantic. Definitely a couple of real head scratching losses.

FAU will be one of the more interesting cases seeding wise. Not a lot they can do in AAC, and while ranked #10, Memphis resume is kind of falling apart tbh. I forgot about Michigan, but they weren't expected to be very good iirc.

Memphis looks like will have 3 more Q1 shots for sure (2 with FAU and 1 at SMU- they're #39 right now so pretty safely in Q1 for a road game). Might have a 4th if North Texas can remain in the top 75- they're #60 right now.

While this is true for other conferences as well, AAC looks especially vulnerable to have their NET rankings cannibalized. Like, home game against FAU might end up being quad 2. Houston and Gonzaga in the past were especially good at managing this with blowout wins after blowout wins, but from what we've seen so far Memphis and FAU aren't acting like they're built to win by huge margin.

I think Memphis actually is starting to act like that. They absolutely rolled Wichita. Game wasn't as close as final score indicated.

FAU could easily get to 22-4 before final 5 games with SMU, Memphis, Tulane, North Texas, and Memphis again. They do that and they'll be Q1 for Memphis at home alomst for sure.

Guessing BE will have more seed/bubble relevant teams this year, so it should be more fun.

One thing I noticed is St. Mary's at #47 as WCC auto-bid. They weren't even in first 8 out group in the last update, so the distance between last at-large and St. Mary's must be fairly substantial. I was wondering how far back Princeton was before, and I guess this answers that question. A10 looking like the prime candidate to steal a bid.

“Memphis' 20-point blown lead is the largest by an AP top-10 team at home since at least 2010-11.”

IMPRESSIVE!
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Got off the phone last night thinking FAU was in trouble, but Memphis took its place!
