I don't think so. I think at worst they would be stuck having to go to Dayton. And I don't think that's even too likely.

NET is going to take a dive after losing by that margin at home against a worse team.

I still think they're safe. the BET game now will be against UConn or Creigton most likely, so that won't hurt them at all.

I'm sure Cooley doesn't think this way, but from outside perspective Providence is better off being an 11 seed over 8/9.

yeah, as long as you avoid Dayton.

couple of bad results for Providence here with WVU over KSU and Auburn over Tennessee. does definitely help Marquette some for sure though.

I stopped watching Marquette when they led by a million. What the heck happened?

From the conference perspective, Dayton is a gold destination. Tourney credits earning potential is probably greater for the first-four participants over seeds 8-10, and 11 seeds not in Dayton. The way Providence is playing lately, they'd get crushed regardless who they play, though.

Bad set of results for the conference so far other than Oklahoma over TCU.

Auburn over Tennessee is a mixed result. It's not good for Providence as they keep falling or Villanova as they might pull off an improbable last-minute bid, but it's good for Xavier in their quest for a 3 seed.

West Virginia over Kansas State is also not good for Providence and Villanova, but it's good for Marquette in their pursuit of a 2 seed. Marquette also likes that Baylor lost, but I doubt Creighton does.

Bubble teams now officially Florida Atlantic fans as they're in the tourney now probably no matter what happens in their conference tourney.
