Regular Season? A-. Creighton, Providence, Nova, Marquette and Creighton all had great seasons.

March? Ehhh, Nova again the only team to make it past the Sweet 16. It really is quite the trend with our conference underperforming in March. In previous years I had suggested bringing in Dayton and VCU to shake things up and increase the variety of playstyles that we would see in conference. I am not opposed to that still, but with recent coaching hires I do think the conference is still on an upward trend.

Hoya9697, others.

While I can empathize with the sentiment of having the OBE schools performing well, Somebody
has to occupy the bottom tier. We can't have all 11 dancin' unless we also have 16 members!

In all candor, I don't care who is in the bottom tier, as long as the Bluejays aren't there. Also, I am
not adverse in my thinking to say that a 16 member conference is okay by me.

Regular Season: A

Focus on OOC when grading the conference in the regular season as league play should be fairly close to a zero sum game. The Big East went from 2 ranked teams in the preseason polls to 5 teams in and out at any point and I believe a max of 4 in at any one time. That happened on the back of very strong OOCs from a bunch of teams.

Post Season: B-

I believe we had 1 team overperform it's seed, 1 team underperform, and the rest do about as expected. It's not terrible, but it's not impressive either.

I believe both Villanova and Creighton exceeded expectations. CU loses its starting point guard and center and still beats the 8 seed (upset) and is down to national champ Kansas by 1 with a minute to go playing with basically six guys.

Villanova has injury to Moore which completely changed their game with Kansas.

Conn and Seton Hall ( though now knowing their coach bailed on them is more understandable) were disappointments.

8/9 game isn't an upset, it's a 50/50 game. Historically, 9 seeds actually have the higher winning percentage. The expectation is 0 or 1 win, which is what happened.
