This is going to get ridiculous. For those who haven't been paying attention, Oklahoma freshman QB Caleb Williams entered the transfer portal after a stellar season. It sounds like he or his father have essentially announced his free agency in an effort to land NIL money. And here we go:

Former NFL player Charlie Batch just offered him a million bucks to transfer to his alma mater, Eastern Michigan.

Batch said GameAbove Capital, an investment firm he works with, would pay Williams $1 million for one season with the Eagles. Williams led a 21-point comeback Oct. 9 against rival Texas and took over as the Sooners' starter, passing for 1,912 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also rushed for 442 yards and six touchdowns.

Good article from the Washington Post about college women capitalizing on NIL more than men:

Doerr said men’s basketball has underperformed more than any men’s sport, and a sports information director recently said the men on their college basketball team don’t think it’s cool to post too much on social media.

So far, women seem to have capitalized on the environment more than men. Twins Haley and Hanna Cavinder, who announced they are entering the NCAA transfer portal from Fresno State, have 4 million followers on TikTok, have been on a Times Square billboard and recently co-founded a streetwear company with a 25 percent ownership share, according to Forbes.
