so up to 4 NIT bid thieves now.

What a finish for Chattanooga/Furman tonight. It's officially March!

Terrible way to lose for Furman. How safe is St. John's NIT chances?

I think they're right on the fringe of it. Can't afford a ton of bid thieves.

Wednesday vs DePaul probably is a must win for those.

Yeah, everyone but Depaul should be rooting for SJU.

Ideal set of results for Xavier this week:

-Santa Clara doesn't win the wcc tourney
-WF, Miami, Notre Dame lose asap in the acc
-SMU does not reach aac finals
-Michigan beats Indiana
-Rutgers lose their first game
-Wyoming lose to UNLV
-No bid thieves or crazy runs in power conferences
-Dayton and VCU lose in A10 quarterfinals & have Davidson win the tourney

Best case scenario X avoids Dayton altogether. Assuming they're able to beat Butler, of course.

If Mary's is able to beat Gonzaga tomorrow, you'd think Arizona takes west 1 seed. Or at least they should, and Gonzaga's 1 seed should be in question. People need to call out their schedule with only 6 road games.

Davidson winning A10 obviously hurts them. Agree with you on SMU. ACC you have Wake playing Pitt or BC and then Miami. Rooting big for Miami there IMO. Michigan winning clinches them over Xavier. Rutgers losing to Iowa wouldn't push them behind Xavier IMO. Wyoming losing a road game to UNLV would be interesting....

Miami, USF, Rutgers, Memphis, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Davidson would all be out of Dayton. Wyoming falls in replacing Michigan. I don't see a 2nd team to get Xavier out of there.

Gonzaga though has 9 Q1 wins to only 5 for Arizona. Arizona going to have a really tough time- especially given their path-
Arizona St 96 / Stanford 108
Colorado 75 / Oregon 74
UCLA 11/ USC 34

So only 1 more Q1 win. If Gonzaga wins tomorrow they have clinched the #1 overall seed I think w/o a doubt. Lose and it's closer- but Arizona has to win the Pac 12 to have any shot of it. Amazing that WCC tourney would provide more Q1 chances for Gonzaga than Pac 12 tourney will for Arizona.
