They are still very much a top-10 team, but with two conference losses already, they that has helped other teams fight for wins (and more importantly seeds). If they were 9-0, Creighton and Marquette resumes would look different (as would anyone that inevitably beats them during the rest of conference play). There is no clear top dog this season, but several are very much top-15-level programs (even though they may not be ranked as high).

yeah totally agree with you. The middle hasn't been squeezed anywhere near as much as they maybe normally would have been from either side of things.

Also helping is the top 7 teams all for the most part did well in OOC play. So had that really good base to build off of in conference play.

I am surprised Hall didn't take a big tumble. They got a huge early boost with wins over Michigan and Texas, but neither of those teams is even ranked anymore. The home win over UCONN is the best after that. I suppose the numbers still look pretty good, but if one of the 7 current teams dancing misses out I think it would be the Pirates.

A lot for the Hall is going to depend on how much forgiveness the committee for missing players. Only 3 of their losses came at full strength, 2 of which were lost on buzzer beaters (and though I'm counting Ohio State as full strength, the Pirates we're in control until Cale left injured).

Completely agree with you on Seton Hall. I mean the Michigan and Texas wins are still Q1. But already with 6 losses, and still have a lot of tough games left. These next 2 weeks to me are crucial- after that they have road games left @ Nova, UConn, Xavier, and Creighton(and probably a makeup with Providence in there as well). And these 2 weeks aren't easy- Marquette, @ Georgetown, Creighton, and Xavier.

Yeah I agree with you as long as you get up to 18 wins.

From what I've heard, the make-up game with Providence is very unlikely to happen. Basically impossible unless the Big East changes its scheduling policies.

Hearing the same about PC at Creighton which pisses me off. Great opportunity for Jays to get a high quality win gets eliminated but we still get to play them on the road? Let’s flip that so the team who doesn’t test positive isn’t penalized.
