Big East currently has
2 Chicago
4 Cincinnati
8 New York
11 Washington DC
15 Omaha

No way Omaha should be on that list. We are not a barbecue town. We are a steak town.

Oh man, the Guinness tour is such a tourist trap. It has some neat things going on, but they cram so many people in there that it's claustrophobic. And I'm talking pre-pandemic times, it was claustrophobic. I think it would be moreso now. Different alcohol but same city, the Jameson tour is awesome.

I'm way too much of a snob about whiskey/whisky to enjoy it sadly (seriously I have a room I built dedicated to scotch whisky, Irish whiskey, Japanese whiskey, and barrel aged stouts) I did the Midleton Distillery tour with my cousins when I was 19 and that was fun and cool they kept the original buildings together, but now days the only stuff from Irish Distillers Group I'd be interested in is Redbreast or Midleton Rare.

Ha, that's fair. I don't like standard Jameson myself either, though some of the special brands are really good. The standard Jameson is like Coke...it's fine? I'm about to try the Quiet Man, never had it before. Usually I turn to bourbons or ryes rather than other styles when delving into whiskeys.

If you like bourbons give The Sexton a try it's an Irish but has a sweet sherry and vanilla kick similar to bourbon. Also if you want a best value buy for Irish whiskey then check out Slane or Roe n Co they're both out of this world for less than $35

I'm actually considering a job opportunity in Milwaukee, so depending on where that goes I may take you up on it. I really should get out there just to visit regardless. Been to Chicago a couple times but never Milwaukee.

saw Meat Loaf passed away.

Man, it's really sucked all the big names that we've lost here recently. Betty White, Bob Saget, now Meat Loaf. And some of the smaller names- one that happened earlier this week- Ron Franklin- the old ESPN guy who called Saturday Night Football always(and also a lot of Big Monday games with Big 12 in hoops).

As a sometimes-watcher of Fox's studio show, it's always amusing to me how much Steve Lavin loves going to Omaha, of all places.
