bottom line, Marquette gets the win that they definitely needed. Now up to 12 wins and if they can just win maybe even 1 of the next 6 games, they're going to be in great shape to make the tourney.

Haha you guys deserved that L you got bailed out from injuring Justin and there was a clear foul on the floor before the shot so we should've been at the line either way. But yes it was not a shooting foul.

I agree we were shit. If we played a decent game it with wouldn't have come down to that. Yes, there was a reach before the offensive foul called shooting foul but after letting reach-ins go all game it also would have been terribly inconsistent to call that.

Oh, and nobody "injured" Justin, it was just a basketball play that unfortunately resulted in a kid getting hurt. Yetna went straight up.

After their loss to DePaul, I thought there was no way Hall loses two straight. Aiken is something else. Outstanding player and very frustrating for opposing fans to watch him score at will.

MU, under Shaka, continues to win ugly. Getting two points in ten minutes, while grinding out a key victory, is beautiful.

Refs were awful, for both sides, today. Very inconsistent and many make up calls that never should have been called. Very unfortunate.

We were underdogs for the next seven games. Still underdogs in next six. Any wins that can be stolen should be taken and ran with.

keystone cops just in the little bit I saw.. to have 1 official in that situation not let the inbounder know it was a spot throw-in is just abysmal.

yup. 2nd toughest stretch(to DePaul current stretch) of any team in the conference this year.

At worst, this is a makeup for Marquette for the Creighton loss earlier this year.

Thank God Xavier found a way to start making free throws in the second half, and especially towards the end of the game.

Beating Creighton requires making them. The Blue Jays nailed those late threes that almost enabled them to position themselves for a come back.

To git and the gang here, Mac has sewn together a solid crew. We needed that one badly.

Both were superb games today.

Great win for Marquette to keep their momentum. You hate for those calls to happen so late in the game. But Seton Hall did not close out the game when they had their chances so they have no right to blame the refs.

High level Big East basketball every day. what a conference.

P.S: How bout those boys from Northwestern?

More than that, I'm pretty sure that ref actually told Cale he could run the baseline. That's why Cale immediately pointed to him after the whistle and the refs called it an "our bad" and redid it.

All in all, why is Breeding still officiating Big East games? He's consistently awful.

right. Just officiating 101. I do youth basketball and the ref trainers- that's one of the basics.
