I think it's way too early to count anyone out except for probably Georgetown. The Johnnies haven't looked great but are only 1-2 in the league and the two losses are at Providence and at UConn in overtime. Plenty of hoops to play. Same for DePaul and everyone else except for Georgetown. The Hoyas just look lost. I don't know where the answer is for them.

The other issue for SHU is that if they were hoping for any leniency from the committee on being shorthanded for the first 2 Big East losses, that's out the window now. You can't blame being shorthanded and then give up 96 points getting blown out by DePaul when you're back at full strength (and they didn't have Freeman-Liberty most of the 2nd half). Again, don't let the last 45 seconds fool you, this was never a competitive game. It's also hard to see them being competitive at Marquette with only 1 day off. At least they'll have some time to regroup after that one since the PC game seems all but certain to be off.

DePaul is teetering IMO given they're already 6 games in and are 1-5-so further along than most are right now. They have 6 games left where they are KP favorite or in that 45-48% range. They would need to win all 6 of those games and still get 2-3 more wins.

Bettors don't realize that Georgetown has no home court advantage, take Butler and the points.

The photos of the crowd have to be alarm for the Georgetown athletic administration. Looked to be 95% empty.

I suspect that you'll see one of the Hall's best efforts vs. Marq. A short layoff after a bad loss is actually a good thing IMO. The players get an immediate chance to respond and make things better. I would imagine that a loss to a winless DePaul--even though they are much better team than 0-5--has a way of getting their attention. If I were a betting man I'd put a few sheckles on the Pirates tomorrow.

I’m almost rooting for Georgetown to go 0-20 so they have no choice to clear house

Get a coach with actually coaching experience

As for the bad attendance , can you blame people for not going ? Who wants to watch that crap? I’ve been to 2-3 games this year and Probbaly won’t until next year . A good hire and they are competitive in 1-2 years it’s not rocket science

Yeah you could really tell it when the fan got knocked by the player and his beer spilled.

And looking at their schedule it only gets tougher they can realistically lose another 5 games in a row. St. John's as well is the same boat, they're both clawing and fighting to break out the cellar but for some reason they just can't. Maybe it's the talent they don't have enough? Also sucks that there is only 2 easy games against Georgetown in league play this year, even Butler will put up a fight . Just Brutal. Anyways the Hall has the net to withstand this and no way will they miss the tournament as long as they stay a couple games over 500 overall they're in with that ooc.

One thing that impressed me last night with the Demons was that they didn't take so many bad shots, even though their shot % wasn't really that great. Over the years, that's been one constant for DePaul: a roster of graduates of the Billy Garrett Jr. School of Shot Selection.

uphill battle for them this year, but I think they might finally be pointed the right way for the first time in 20 years.
