Nova can kind of put a hammer lock on the top seed tonight with a win- they'd have road wins at Seton Hall and Xavier(and a sweep vs Xavier). You figure sweep vs Xavier would be huge in tiebreakers where team has split with Nova. Nova has 10 KP level A games, and this is #4 already for them. 6 KP level B games and already 2 of those played.

After tonight, only Nova/Xavier winner, Providence, Creighton, and Georgetown(lol) have only 1 conference loss. (edit- and St John's if they can beat UConn)

We had a very tough time putting lots of bad teams away and it took some huge plays at the end down to the last second to beat DePaul. Dominated by PC. Just don't see how we even keep within 15 points in final score to be honest. UConn will get 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances at the rim tonight at will. We really struggle with rebounding but especially giving up offensive rebounds even to poor teams. We are also due for a weird win, so you never know, but just don't see it.

Hey Nova guys, what is the inside scoop on whether Coach Wright is looking to expand his bench? Lil' Arch has logged 190+ minutes, which is significantly more than the other guys right of Daniels on the bench, but his numbers are very week. He does have only 2 TO's though, so is a serviceable place holder in that regard.

Antoine, Longino and Patterson look 100% BE ready. Is GQJ holding his cards close to the vest in an effort to surprise us all? I am expecting something out of the ordinary tonight!

Unless someone can get some traction soon and get some meaningful run, I don't see how fatigue doesn't become a factor for your top 6 come mid-February.

BTW, any chance you left your A game in Philly?

Antoine is starting to eat into Arch's minutes. Longino has played well in limited minutes. Those 2 plus Arch in when Gillespie goes to the bench is what I expect going forward.

Hey Xup... Kayako nails it. Longino was beginning to earn minutes and now Antoine is healthy. His minutes are gradually increasing. Their replacing, an rightly so, arch's minutes. He need to be around 5 min max (plus garbage time). With Daniels healthy again(covid), I think this is going to be the sub pattern (unless fouls).. Daniel's, Antoine, Longino and then arch. Crosby Roundtree hasn't seen action since he filled in some minutes for injuries/illness. Patterson Anand nanna are glued to the bench and brizzi is redshirting.

So, depth wish we are a lot better off now, just no real depth at the big. So expect the usual heavy dose of small ball, particularly when Dixon rests.

Should be a good one, expect Cintas and your boys to come out on fire and nova slowing the pace as much as possible.

Most of us on Victory Pkwy are NOT wanting a "good one".....we desperately need a Creighton-esque beat down. Its an optics thing...big time. No hyperbole....the future perception of the program and its Coach are at stake.

It can not be overstated the magnitude of this game, as far as sending a clear message throughout the league and for the mentality/confidence of our players AND Coaching Staff. Make no mistake, if Coach Steele can not make a statement with THIS group tonight, it will cement the narrative that VU owns X.

This is easily Coach Steele's most impactful BEast game in his 4 seasons. Winning convincingly is Paramount. If he can't win this one, our board will be in full meltdown.

This is exactly why I’m not going to post: “HERE KITTY, KITTY”.

I have a dinner function I need to attend tonight. I’ll either watch the replay over and over or delete it very quickly.

Here Kitty Kitty... lol, I like that.

Well, if it is ever going to happen to date, one would think this is the set up.

Nova has certainly appeared vulnerable earlier this year. This game is crucial for nova too. Has the ship been wrighted?? Are shots going to fall again? Does our new found depth ensure we don't give up double digit leads to top 10 teams in the future? X has a lot of talent and this game will be about who imposes their will. Years gone by, Nova could depend on a stretch of X bad decisions and shot selection... will that happen again?

So many questions... some might even get answered tonight!

Dash, even though you have a function, my guess is you will sneak a peak at the scoreboard every now and then!

Chap, I can’t think of a classier program for my team to be owned by.

But, enough is enough. I see you guys showing up in your typical highly synchronized fashion. I see X delivering 40 minutes of what they executed in the first half at your place - this crew won’t melt down at home. The Cintas Center will be off the charts tonight.

It will all come down to what you nailed in your post - which program goes all-in “Terminator” and imposes its will.

Hoping for a great game by two talented teams.
