Glad St. John's attendance is that low, going forward we can't have a repeat like this where we schedule nothing but cupcakes at CA. Ticket sales will force CMA to schedule like a Big East team next year. The Pitt game at MSG will help attendance some, but not much.

New York is not a 'college basketball city'. To wit:

Largest U.S. Cities by Population: 2021 Metro Area Rankings – MacroTrends,com - 2021
18,823,000 • New York City • (Rank: #1 in U.S.)
8,877,000 • Chicago • (Rank: #3 in U.S.)
1,443,000 • Milwaukee • (Rank: #38 in U.S.)
843,000 • Omaha • (Rank: #59 in U.S.)
741,000 • Dayton • (Rank: #68 in U.S.)

Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Attendance – Atlantic 10.com – December 16, 2021
13,407 • Dayton

7,080 • VCU
5,871 • Richmond
5,013 • Rhode Island

Neither is St. Louis.

Nova's attendance is misleading because we elected to not play any OOC games at the WFC, because more than 3 games played there disqualifies Philadelphia region for the NCAAT for us. SJU didn't play at MSG either.

The last non-covid regular season had BE attendance average at 5th, but 2-5 are very close.

http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/m_basketball_RB/2021/Attend.pdf

1. Big Ten - 12,709
2. SEC - 11,188
3. ACC - 10,866
4. B12 - 10,521
5. BE - 10,130
6. PAC12 - 7,071

This is without UCONN, so I expect BE numbers to improve a bit in coming years.

Creighton jumped 24 places last night. Congratulations to the Bluejays on a huge win.

I won’t be posting daily updates, but I was curious to see how much Butler’s loss to Purdue hurt Butler’s NET Ranking. Purdue moved from NET #8 to #4.

Hall and Xavier are locks. I think Nova hangs on and Providence sneaks in.

Very simple. The SeCUM basketball programs are the laundromat for filthy, dirty football bowl cartel money.

My wife is a big UK fan. Latest rakings have XU 2 ahead of UK in one poll, 2 behind in the other, with Tennessee between in both polls. As a loyal UK fan, her take is "...so why in Tennessee even ranked at all, and (of course) which nutcases think XU is better than UK?" PERCEPTIONS!
PS. I know better than to respond to her with anything other than "...hmmm...."
