not really sure where to put this....

On the CSN board talking about how few bad losses Big East has had. Someone asked about the Big East bad losses....

before tonight there were 3 Q3/4 losses....
Georgetown obviously with 2- Dartmouth and St Joseph's.

The 3rd one is believe it or not..... Virginia. right now NET 103 so Q3. You figure that won't stay that way at all.

Glad St. John's attendance is that low, going forward we can't have a repeat like this where we schedule nothing but cupcakes at CA. Ticket sales will force CMA to schedule like a Big East team next year. The Pitt game at MSG will help attendance some, but not much.

Think being a stand alone game now might not help out much at all. The draw was going to be Pitino in MSG I think.

It'd be pretty embarrassing if St. John's can't get 5,000 people into MSG to bring the average up a bit, but yeah just further shows that they need to schedule better. Pitt wasn't expected to be this bad but they also weren't expected to be very good given they had a losing record last year.

With Hall vs Iona officially cancelled, I believe that 4/5 of our ranked (or in the case of PC, nearly ranked) teams have completed their OOC schedules. The only game left is Villanova vs Temple, which I don't imagine Nova will have any trouble winning. Great job by UConn, Xavier and Seton Hall for clinching an OOC AP ranking, and PC for coming very close (they deserve to be ranked anyway).

Pre-season we only had Villanova and UConn ranked, so this marks yet another year where the Big East has outperformed pre-season expectations. Out of the 9 OOC schedules we've played, I believe we've outperformed expectations nearly every year.
