I think right now the bracketology from folks is pretty fair in general. Maybe a few that have a spot or 2 low. But overall, fair.

I'm pretty sure there has never been a year when the Committee undervalued or snubbed the Big East relative to the cumulative consensus on Bracket Matrix. If it happened then point it out (and preferably I'd like to see examples from multiple years since one year could just be a coincidence). A team or two by a seed line or two? Sure, that's bound to happen from time to time since no bracketologist ever gets everything right. What's much bigger is the bubble, and as a St. Johns fan we were the last team in a few years ago with a NET in the 70s (the worst ever at-large I believe for NET/RPI). The poster was pointing towards a conspiracy which has zero evidence until proven otherwise.

I'd say these few-
2019- SH 10 seed 8.38 in Matrix
2018- PC 10 seed 8.44 in Matrix, Butler 10/8.96 (Also Seton Hall 8/7.23).

2018 probably in full the worst...

Honorable mention to 2016 when they gave SHU a reasonable 6 seed but with Gonzaga as their 11.

The problem was 6th seed having to fly out west to play an 11th seeded western team, days after winning the BET and probably on cloud nine. I don't think it mattered who Seton Hall played, they looked like crap. I remember Marquette having to play South Carolina in South Carolina... lol

The committee moves teams up/down in order to avoid matchups that already happened that season. All conferences has instances that they feel victimized. Duke, Carolina, and Kansas almost never gets the short end of the stick, though. Gonzaga, too, with so few good western basketball programs deserving protected seeds.

The thing with those 3 teams you mentioned is they are almost always getting a chance to play in pretty much home situations. Take this year for instance. It's going to be a lock that Duke will get to play 1st 2 rounds in.... Greenville,SC. Seton Hall a few years ago had to play Kansas in Wichita IIRC.

Ok sure, let's look at the 3 most recent years then.

2021- exactly as predicted except UConn was 1.25 seed lines better than BM (Committee put them at a better seed than BM). Nova and Creighton exactly where they were predicted to be within 0.11. Those were our 3 at large teams. If anything this would point to the Committee favoring the Big East.
2020- no Tournament
2019- SH was undervalued by the Committee (by 1.62) and Nova by 0.77. That's more than offset by St. John's making the Tournament as the final team in, while only 128/195 BM had them in the field. Surely if there was a conspiracy then this was a golden chance to make the Big East a 3 bid league? In addition, Marquette's BM average was 5.77 and they were a 5 seed. Once again, if anything this would point to the Committee favoring the Big East.
2018- the Big East had 2 #1 seeds (plus Nova won it all). While 3 teams were slightly undervalued (as you mentioned), Creighton was slightly overvalued by the Committee (8 seed vs 9.15 BM).

2018 I can agree that the Big East was slightly undervalued overall (despite our 2 #1 seeds and Creighton being overvalued... which is half of the 6 teams that got bids). 2019 however points towards the opposite with St. John's being the final team in when they very easily could've excluded them (combined with the rest of the seeding not being very different overall from BM). I'm sure the Big East was very happy just to avoid the bad press that being a 3 bid league would've created. 2021 also points towards the Committee favoring the Big East and that is our most recent reference. I didn't bother to look prior to 2018, but apparently it was the worst year anyways.

In conclusion there's no evidence of a conspiracy against the Big East. One year out of 8 with some minor undervaluing by the Committee (again, a year where we had 2 #1 seeds and one of them won it all), while the following 2 years showed the Committee favoring the Big East, doesn't help his case. If anything it's easier to make the case that the Committee is biased in favor of the Big East (which I'd also disagree with... any slight overvaluing or undervaluing is just a coincidence when it doesn't become a pattern),

100%. He was even negative immediately after some big Marquette wins this year. Either he's the most paranoid fan out there or he's a troll.

I'm sorry but I just have high expectations. Marquette has been in the crapper ever since buzz left. And in terms of the Jay's I think they will be a tournament team I was disappointed in that ASU loss the margins on the bubble are razor thin. For me Creighton's recruiting class along with their transfers made them the team with the best off-season in the big east. Plus Nembhard has NBA written all over him. I really like Nembhards game he reminds me of Trae Young. Anyways yea Marquette I like what Shaka's doing but I'm still in wait and see mode.

And yes the league is underrated, it better than saying we suck.
