Kent State has good size and experience. This game scares me more than a little

Honestly, not expecting a W tonight, but would love to be surprised. UCLA is REALLY good, either way should be a helluva game. A key to this game IMO is how effective Gillespie is posting up Tyger Campbell. UCLA is going to score... a lot. Nova needs to be firing on all cylinders.

I'm not completely sold on UCLA yet. They're getting a lot of praise coming off the Final Four run, but if you look at the entirety of their season, it was rather pedestrian. Did they actually turn the corner or did they just get really hot in March? We shall see...

Big game tonight for Nova.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... -next-week

But damn.. that 11:30PM EST start in the East hurts. 10PM would've been better for ratings

It would be nice if Nova gets a win. Not counting on it though

What??? Who is this guy? He evidently broke into Chap's house (got ol Jack tied up in the basement.). Somebody call 911 and investigate.

Cody Riley is out for the game. Nova can win with good-great shooting. If they 'pull a lil creighton-yesterday' (38% overall/5% 3pt) they will surely lose.

Please - someone go and check on Jack...this guy is obviously an imposter.  ;)

A lot of the press UCLA has gotten is due to the Final Four run. Before that they were good but not amazing. Should be real interesting. I can see UCLA coming back down to earth a bit but IMO this game is a toss up. Nova will have to shoot 40%+ from 3 IMO to have a good chance of winning.

C'mon Villanova, c'mon UConn, c'mon Xavier, etc.,etc., etc.

While almost nothing else would please me more than Nova going 7-4 in the non-con and limping into the Chico on 17 Dec., 2021 for a beatdown. There are OTHER more important considerations to be pondered.
If The top 2 teams take non-con stumbles (8-3/7-4) that will negatively impact the standing of the entire conference, primarily in the eyes and votes of the poll voters and other national pundits. That would be catastrophic for the Big East even while continuing to beat the football five overall. It is vital that our top 4 teams perform well in the non-conference slate.

It is better for lil Creighton that a strong, tough, winning Nova arrives on 17 Dec. It is a much better matchup and win over an 11-0 (#1)/10-1 (top 10) Nova, than the 7-4 version. The leap into the Top 25 resulting from that win is far more satisfying and impactful than beating a weakened Radnor squad.

Roll Nova.
Roll UConn
Roll Muskies
Roll Johnnies
Roll Pirates
Roll Bulldogs (Hinkleites)

Go Big East!!! ;)

Per Jeff Goodman

Kent State and Xavier play today. They are 2 of just 8 teams in the country without a losing season this century.

Others: Gonzaga, Kansas, Duke, Michigan State, Maryland and Arizona....he missed Syracuse sho has never had a down year under JB

A lot of slow starts/poor first halves by BE teams, only to get it together in the second half. Gotta reverse that before playing the football 5 or the deficit/quality of opponent may be too much to overcome.
