Paradise Jam is an awful field. Creighton should ditch it for the Orlando Invitational or NIT Tip-Off.

Orlando and the NIT would be good spots for a couple brothers without a tourney yet, Xavier and Georgetown

Xavier is going to be in the Preseason NIT with Memphis, Virginia Tech, and Iowa State. If X plays Memphis, what are the odds that the announcers chatter about Penny Hardaway while getting Xavier players' names wrong?

Good call. Glad this turned out to be the case. And given the roster turnover perhaps the Paradise Jam is a good fit for the Bluejays this year.

Slightly unrelated question but one that does determine next seasons outlook....is there a transfer portal deadline?? Or can players transfer wherever, whenever?

The limitation of transfers is always their ability to register in time for the fall semester, I believe.

For the upcoming season, it looks like May 1st to enter the portal. I don't think there is a deadline in choosing the destination. fwiw the NBA draft combine is June 21-27, and the NCAA may require players to return by 10 days after the combine to be eligible.

Jon Rothstein

St. John's is finalizing opponent and date next season to play the first ever basketball game in UBS Arena in Elmont, per AD Mike Cragg. UBS Arena will be the new home of the New York Islanders.

That's a perfect game for the 'cats. A nice easy win that they'll still get a ton of credit for because it's on a neutral floor against a "name school" from a "power conference."
