That was obvious from the get go and it was consistent, so it's fair game imo.

We had to make it an ugly game, hit 3’s, run them off the 3 pt line and limit TO’s. 2 out of 4 of those not good enough. They’re one of the 2 best in the country for a reason. Drew made some nice adjustments and that run of consecutive TO’s did us in. We battled but were short of bullets. Would have loved to have CG out there but wasn’t to be.

Go Jays!

I would suggest that it was consistently to Baylor’s advantage.

Yeah, they're coached to play that way and Nova's not. But Baylor's probably not a #1 seed if they're not allowed to play that way. It's the only reason they can play the way they do without a real center.

Nova needed lil archy to be like his big bro, but it wasn't meant to be. Nova wins this one with CG. Unfortunate, but tis 2020-2021.

Bummed with the result but the effort was amazing. Great run Nova. Once again, the class of the conference.

Good tuff slog, but Antoine is not quite ready. Daniels exposed. 3 for 17 from distance is in no way Nova!

Disappointed.
Wisdom is what you get 5 seconds after you needed it.

I don’t disagree. Recruiting and roster construction is a HUGE part of a coach’s responsibility. Marry in player development and you have the foundation to which good X & O coaches go to work. I think 2 years ago Jay envisioned a game like yesterday with CG at the point (with perhaps Quinnerly sharing the court as a 2nd PG), Saddiq Bey as a 3 and Cosby Roundtree playing a bunch of minutes at the 5. Imagine just Bey and CG on the floor yesterday and I feel pretty confident we’re moving on. But Bey blew up earlier than expected, and his replacement Daniels is just not up to his level, JQ didn’t fit or want to play behind Gillespie, DCR’s wheels fell off, and guys like Antoine haven’t been able to fully develop yet. Yet with all that we gave one of the 2 best teams in the country a good run for 3/4 of the game and made a S16.
JRE’s gone. Who knows what happens with CG, Samuels and any transfers out. But with a top 5 recruiting class coming in and a coach I wouldn’t trade for any other in the country, I think we’ll reload and get back at it.
Go Nova!
