Ouch.

NCAA has declared the VCU-Oregon game scheduled tonight a no-contest because of COVID-19 protocols. Oregon moves on. VCU had COVID-19 issues.

Dana moves on without playing

Devastating for VCU players. I wonder how Louisville and SLU feels about this.

To nobody's surprise UVA is one and done. Creighton's had really tough luck in recent years, but the committee's really gifted them a S16 ticket.... better not blow this chance!

What’s comically ironic is that we were in the 8/9 game when Virginia lost to UMBC.. we would’ve been able to play the only #16 seed to ever advance, but we sucked it that day.

I think Creighton would've won both times had it materialized.

Not sure if Texas actually fouled there. Tough way to lose...

edit - yeah it was definitely a foul

It's always great seeing the ACC lose.

There was a team that lost from every seed like 2-16 in the first round.

In 2017 Villanova was the overall #1 seed and got rewarded with a senior laden Wisconsin team with multiple final four experience. That was fucked up and that was on top of having Omari ineligible for the most ridiculous reason ever.

I bring that up because I am getting similar vibes from this Loyola Chicago vs. Illinois game!

Can we institute soccer-style relegation into basketball? DePaul, you are banished to the Valley. Loyola, step on up! You are Chicago's team!
