i guess "never say never", but based on what I know about DePaul, I'd be stunned if they even looked in Gregg Marshall's general direction, let alone hired him.

Some of this might be speculation, but these names were linked to the DePaul job in The Athletic in recent days:

Kenny Payne, Knicks Assistant Coach
Porter Moser, Loyola (CHI) Head Coach
Dennis Gates, Cleveland State Head Coach
Micah Shrewsberry, Purdue Assistant Coach
Jon Scheyer, Duke Assistant Coach

DePaul, and all other high-major programs, should run, not walk, away from any Duke/Coach K disciples. Believe me, you do not want to set your program back by hiring someone accustomed to recruiting elite talent year after year and then being forced to adjust by actually coaching.

I wonder if both Miller brothers will be in the market this summer.

Richard Pitino to New Mexico? Sounds like he is jumping ship before getting fired at Minnesota.

Archie Miller's $10 million buyout makes decision on his IU future trickier than it seems - Zach Osterman, Indianapolis Star – March 10, 2021
There is, of course, the question of the buyout figure, which would require Indiana to commit between $10-$11 million over the next three years starting April 1. That’s the remainder of the term of Miller’s original deal, signed when he was hired in 2017. It requires Indiana to pay 100% of remaining guaranteed income through March 30 of next year. Starting April 1, 2022, it falls to 50%.

IU basketball fires Archie Miller. A by the numbers breakdown of his Indiana tenure - Matthew Glenesk, Indianapolis Star – 30 minutes ago
Indiana fired men's basketball coach Archie Miller on Monday after four uninspiring seasons in Bloomington. Here's a closer look at Miller's tenure, by the numbers. Some of these aren't for the faint of heart.
