Well all things considered, that could've been a lot worse. If you told me Georgetown would shoot over 70% from 3 and more than triple us up in free throw attempts in the first half, I'd have guessed we'd be down at least 20. Add in only 3 points for Mamu and I'd guess closer to 30.

Of course the Hall now has the added challenge of foul trouble going into the second half

Fun game. Hoyas up 44-39 at under-16 timeout, after Pirates tied it at 39.
Tired legs may come into play around the 8 minute mark.

And 3 fouls on Rhoen now. Rhoden and Obiagu have more than Georgetown's entire team. We're in trouble.

Really good game here. Both teams playing their hearts out on the defensive end

I sure miss the sold out MSG crowd. Very exciting game.

Georgetown's shooting is so good. I feel like the Pirates have done a good job taking the paint away but their jumpers feel automatic. And then that Blair floater...how do you stop it? He's lobbed a few of those over a leaping Obiagu and nailed them. I don't get how this team finished 8th in the Big East. They look like they could do some damage in the NCAA Tournament.

If Georgetown could grab a defensive rebound this one would be long over

Also, I love Mamu but the Hall has to run their offense through Rhoden. Play the hot hand. Enough of Mamu taking bad shots

Agreed. Mamu doesn't have it tonight and I while I don't mind him staying aggressive, there's clearly a hot hand who they need to ride here.

Rhoden has been magnificent and poised all night. If they let him run the offense here down the stretch they can steal this one
