Got embarrassed by Georgetown, their front line starting to look like twin Patrick Ewings down there. Got hot from 3 as well with Blair and Pickett torching us. Sure as hell didn’t look like a bottom team.

Honestly the Hoya team we just lost to looked like the best team we played all year and it’s not close.

DAMN THIS LEAGUE CREIGH CREIGH

I'll be honest I'm happy for G'Town getting a big win for the first time in what feels like forever. I'm still very doubtful though that Ewing will be the guy to get back to the ranked G'Town days under the Thompsons. Just not sure they can be consistent enough. Very up and down team. That being said, nationally relevant SJ and G'Town teams are crucial for the Big East perception nationally. Don't need to be ranked all the time, but imagine a SJ vs. G'Town matchup with tourney implications or both being ranked? The Garden would be a nut house and it would be the center of college hoops for a day. Jon Rothstein said before the Nova game last night that Queens would be the center of the college hoops universe with a red hot Johnnies squad taking on a legit national title contending Nova team. Very fun to be relevant even if it doesn't last.

Happy to help... ;)

Seriously, the Johnnies kicked Nova's butt and earned that win. No excuses, our team looked lost---which rarely happens. Posh is for real and he shut down Gillespie big time. I am curious what Jay will do in terms of adjustments for the game in Philly.

Now, Nova has to deal with a red hot Georgetown team that already gave them drouble in DC. Maybe Gonzaga would have been better after all!!! (total sarcasm font there folks)

Twitter thinks we ducked Gonzaga... lmao We all know Jay didn't want to ruin his friend Mark's dream season! But seriously, no, thank God that didn't happen. We'll be ready for them in March, but Nova's way behind right now.

Thanks Nova...as I said it's tough for any team even one like Nova to come back after a while and play against a system like ours. I have seen Gillespie a lot and he's so fundamentally sound. Looked so odd to see him completely shut down and overwhelmed. He had zero space and zero time to think. There were several times where Nova looked primed for a run and even though we had a healthy lead much of the way, Nova would make a few quick 3's and suddenly it felt like it was tied. You guys will obviously be fine...Nova will come out angry after this and they typically respond in a big way. I think the biggest factor for us was playing defense all out 10/10 intensity all together. That and Posh becoming an absolute nut on the court. He now has a solid 3 PT shot, plays insane harassing defense all game, and has crafty finishes at rim. We are all watching a star in the making. Kudos to coach for finding him. Even Wusu is contributing when no other programs really cared about him.

I'm happy for gtown and johnnies but what a bad day for the league in terms of ncaa's. It would have been much better if Hall would have given nova that first loss and friars being able to beat gtown. Conference tournament is going to be a crapshoot.

It really wasn’t. St. John’s is just as much in the mix for a bid as Seton Hall or Providence right now. They all have a chance if they finish strong.

How is a red hot Red Storm team reaching the bubble bad for the league?
