Dem's open borders are clearly the answer to containing the spread.

That’s just well done.

Channel surfed my way into a couple minutes of your game with ECU. I can’t imagine how anxious you guys are to get back into the Big East. What a pathetic basketball environment that is.

Chicago State has informed the WAC that it's men's basketball team will not play it's road games against Seattle U on Thursday and Utah Valley on Saturday due to the coronavirus threat. 9 deaths so far in the Seattle area.

Didn't realize that Utah Valley was in the Seattle area.

Chartered or ticketed Chigago > Seattle > Utah, would have to now get Chicago > Utah. Not exactly worth it for a team that's dead last in KenPom.

I thought this was the most appropriate place for this, so I'm traveling and will be for the next week and a half. Apologies if the moderation queue gets long. I'll check in when I can to help keep up with it.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Saw that New York just declared a state of emergency. Does this impact anything for the tournament?

Big Ten released a statement that their tournament is on, so that's a good sign. A lot of midwesterners are heading to New York, so there better be games or we'll drive our tractors down 7th Avenue in protest.

Dow dropped another 7% today. This is not good.

Yeah, that's largely on the Saudi Arabia-Russian Oil Price war that's about to start/started last weekend.

Basically, OPEC+Russia have been trying to maintain price, but couldn't come to an agreement on output.

The high prices have allowed the US to become a net Exporter, largely on the oil shale industries. Oil has been right at the sweet spot where its profitable to extract the oil from the shale via fracking etc. Keep in mind these companies are leveraged to high hell.

So last week, Russia walked out of price talks and SA is going to dump oil on the market, Russia is threatening to retaliate, and all of this is going to torpedo the price of oil well below that magic band where US Oil is profitable. Silver lining is that gas is going to be cheap as hell again (Road Trip to the Dance?), but at some point those bills are going to come due, and people won't get paid when they want. It'll have a cascading effect across the economy.

So it's not really the COVID's fault the stocked took a dive today, but more Russia and SA getting into an oil pissing match.
