With this kind of recruiting, the teams need to be careful about pre-BE scheduling. Seriously could be looking at years of log-jammed 12-8 to 8-12 teams in conference.

The thing is, everyone recruiting this well is bad for the the Big East. The Big East needs a few teams to be doormats and go 0-20 in conference, otherwise we'll have too many 9-9 teams who get the 9 seeds in the Tournament. That's a bad seed line and the Big East won't advance in the Tournament. The AAC is in a better position with teams like ECU recruiting 2 stars.

When the Big East gets together and celebrates its eventual completed 2020 Recruiting Class (we need to get the Husky in there too!):

The Friar has to be Top 5 in creepy mascots. If you're gonna do a person, make it a real person (like the WVU Mountaineer). Those fake humanoids are creepy as hell.

What about CMA and his staff makes you say that? Unlike Mullin and to a lesser extent Lavin, the effort and team culture is clearly there. They've been out there just as much as any other BE coach the past few months. Doesn't guarantee success on the court, but as someone who follows closely I see no reason to be negative. Him and his entire staff have been extremely impressive so far. Polar opposite of Mullin and co.

That said, I suppose St. John's being cursed is also a possibility.

Nothing. Just the implication that it would be someone else to provide the service. It was just a little ironic is all, since you are a St Johns guy and St Johns has provided that benefit for a good deal of the conference's existence.

I think you could just say the head coaches were polar opposites. I think there were a couple of guys on Mullin's staff that were putting in the effort, but it's a lot different when the head guy doesn't put in the effort.

I think Mike Anderson will do well at St. John's, but the quality of the depth this year could be a challenge.

I think just having a guy dress up as dartagnan instead of the mascot would be pretty badass. Gotta find someone who can grow that mustache though
