I wasn’t really sold on 20 games either, but it seems to be the way things are going. If we have to do it to adapt then that’s fine. It’s really not a big deal. Obviously it affects nova more because your schedule is less flexible

The 20 game schedule is probably influenced in some part by Fox wanting better inventory.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

The biggest question is what does this mean for our resident trolls? Will we be seeing them at the BET, or will they double down on their dislike for the BE? Stever needs to send out a PR ASAP!

Wow! Good news for the Big East as we add a big name school who's a traditional rival for many of us and has a strong reputation in most most of the sports we compete in.

INCREDIBLE news for UConn fans as they leave an irrelevant train wreck of a conference for one of the nation's elite basketball powers that is only getting stronger!!!

At least we all have someone we can agree to hate.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

I'm (pleasantly) surprised that UConn is giving up on the football dream before giving the P5 one last hail Mary chance with the next round of TV negotiations/possible conference realignment in 5 years. I guess things really were that bad...or they've been hearing some whispers that action (if any) has already been decided upon.

20 conference games is going to be rough on the guys, especially with our Big 5 games, but expanding with UConn vs. someone like SLU or UD should really shut down the snide comments about us.

Who will the AAC take to replace them? ESPN article theorizes Army football, and then possibly a basketball-only school? VCU would probably be the natural fit there, or possibly UD, although both of those would have the risk of jumping to us if we ever decided to expand further (I'm guessing that would be highly unlikely, although with our private school club being broken, if VCU went on a few runs they'd probably be next up if Georgetown let them in).
