Johnnies better win. Can't have the BE lose to the trifecta of suck that is BC, Rutgers, & the fruit.

What a wildly undisciplined team. Terrible loss.

But John Fanta told me the Johnnies would be immediately resurrected by old man Pitino.

Horrible loss by SJU. Resume was borderline already, they need to do alot of work in Big East play to sniff the tourney.

The unfortunate truth is the Johnnies simply aren't a good team. Not one of these newcomers is as good as we were led to believe they'd be. In retrospect, I wish Pitino kept a few of the old guys around, like Posh and Storr, instead of cleaning house completely. Anyway, it is what it is. Reality has set in, and with the bottom of the league not nearly as strong as expected, the Johnnies should pick up some wins along the way. but making the tournament is a long shot.

Addae-Wusu also a starter elsewhere. Any idea why he didn't keep those guys?

Pitino said that the existing culture was poison and needed to be completely reset. Anderson had completely lost control of the team. Playing defense was optional, and offense was anarchy where everyone could do whatever they wanted, with no consequences. Major changes needed to be made. But there was some talent, so it was surprising nearly everyone was let go. Supposedly there was some incident regarding Wusu that was a deal breaker to his returning, but I'm not certain exactly what it was. From what I can see, these new players are all likable, and I think they play hard, but the talent just doesn't seem to be there. Hope I'm wrong, but it looks like another season that won't live up to expectations.

Watching the game St. John's goes on a 14-0 run to lead by 10, to give the lead up 3 minutes later. Ughhh.

Interesting, makes sense. I thought the shot selection was poor Sunday, but the Johnnies are ranked 35 on shotquality.com.
