I don't think many people would have predicted that the first NET rankings would have Butler 4th in the league. There's still a long way to go, but there's no denying it's been a somewhat disappointing start to the season. Creighton, UCONN and Marquette have all been as good as advertised, and Butler has outperformed expectations, but no one else is setting the world on fire. Still hoping for six bids come March, but that might be an uphill battle.

only saving thing was what Nova did in Atlantis. If they had been mediocre there- yikes.
I'm a bit surprised on Providence being so low.

The top is elite.
But damn... has the mid-tier (4-5-6) and bottom-tier (10-11) regressed this year.
It's going to be a difficult year for the Big East to get 6 bids.
I remember DePaul a few years ago being competitive OOC and getting destroyed in the Big East season which at least didn't hurt the league in the NET. But this year GT and DePaul are terrible and real drags.

thing with the NET if you kill those teams, you won't get hurt. But if you play them close..... yikes.
Georgetown I think is better. Took TCU to the wire and got unlucky. Things look a lot different for them if that had been the case.

I think there will be movement in the middle 4-5-6 group and those numbers improve and not be so much of an issue. The bottom two numbers are very tough. Not sure how that plays out.

Depaul and Georgetown need to go 1-19 in league play for us to get 6 bids imo. I think we are in the 4-5 range right now. Losing to either will destroy yout NET. I fear Georgetown will pick off some teams...

That’s exactly right but they won’t. At least the Hoyas won’t. Hate on Cooley all you want PC fans, but he’s going to turn GTown around and I think sooner than later.
