I spent about 15 seconds working this out.
Wright
Cooley / McDermott
Hurley / Smart
Miller
Anderson/ Holloway
Stubblefield / Jordan
Ewing

Wright 1st obviously
McDermott 2nd comfortably
I'd say Cooley, Shaka, Hurley, and Miller in the same tier after that
Projecting a little with Hurley, but I think he's going to be a great coach. Shaka's still young.

Early opinions here are weird. Yes, Jay Wright is a given....BUT
Coach Miller is clearly #2, and it's not even close unless you're looking at something other than career accomplishments. I am guessing that he is fairly close to winning more significant post season games than the bottom 9 guys combined. Not to mention his regular season conference titles and his World 19U Gold Medal. Just to leave no doubt....his career winning % is better than Wright's.
An argument could be made that he has been top 20 nationally in the last 15 years.

Career winning percentage:
Sean Miller .7301
Jim Boeheim .7207
John Thompson .7138
Jim Calhoun .6966
Jay Wright .6949
Not very hard to see why the misfit in that group has the highest winning percentage.
I think your argument relies too much on resume. I think the conference has some really good coaches and a few more that's TBD.

Relies too much on resume? How else can you rank a group of coaches? Degree of style in their wardrobe?
But seriously, Miller is only #2 based on past results, and if he continues to duplicate that type of elite success he stays there.
However, he can only really be judged vs other BE coaches when he competes against them.
Count on him having to overcome the obvious hurdles short term and time to implement his system/culture down the road. Roster is in question for sure... including staff. I see X middle of the pack until the situation is properly corrected.

We’ll see. Lots of great coaches in the Big East.

I'll have to wait and see. His last stint with Xavier was over a decade ago and his stint with Arizona may have a bit of an asterisk attached.

Didn't he win a complaint against Pac-12 referees that they were deliberately being biased against Arizona?
Also, the dude is so corrupt it's unbelievable, but crazy as it sounds, i think that will be good for the Big East.
He *is* a big name, never had a bad season at Arizona, and that's good for the BE. He's not like a Ben Howland, with a good long-ago run who couldn't get things rolling at Mississippi State.
Like, this really is a home run hire. In 13 months, the BE has lost Willard, Wojo, Leitao and Steele, and replaced them with Holloway, Shaka, T-Stubbs and Sean Miller. That's really really impressive.
And with Willard gone, none of the 11 have much interest in jumping to another school, assuming Cooley's Sweet-16 and local love will keep him home.
