huge seeding game for both teams really. Nova wins and they might be able to get onto the 2 line. Providence wins and they might get up to the 3 line with a shot to maybe get up to the 2 line if they do enough in the BET.

One more thing - Providence wins and the asterisk that a vocal minority have pushed (in regards to providence's regular season championship) goes away.
I know its b.s. but some UConn/Nova fans on twitter insists in making a big deal out of it

Yeah I'd agree with that. But if Nova wins, and especially if they win big, that asterisk thing would become louder and louder.
The league really did Providence no favors in all of this.

They still have the BET to change the optics.

Just a friendly reminder:
2020-21
Villanova: 11-4 (.733) for a total of 15 conference games. Regular Season Conference Champions.
Creighton: 14-6 (.700) for a total of 20 conference games. Runner-Up.
2021-22
Providence (worst case scenario): 14-3 (.824) for a total of 17 conference games. Regular Season Conference Champions.
Villanova: (Best case scenario) 16-4 (.800) for a total of 20 conference games. Runner-Up.
I don't pay attention to Twitter because that place is miserable, but if Nova fans are actually upset about PC winning this year after having the same scenario happen to them last year that's hilarious. I would expect it from UConn fans because they're UConn fans but would hope Nova fans are more intellectually honest than that.

2020-21 is definitely an asterisk year for the regular season championship. It was a crappy pandemic ruined season all around.
I wouldn't consider this 2021-22 Friars championship an asterisk. Only a few UConn/Nova (like 90% uconn fans tbh) haters on twitter do. This season was pretty much a normal season with a few pauses here and there

This is PC’s last game of the regular season tonight? Heck, make them drive to Hall or UConn and play on Friday. Bump that team’s last game one day back to Sunday. It wouldn’t have been that hard.

The problem with that is Providence could have made up one of those games and still find themselves in a similar situation as they are in now. It's either Providence or not having a regular season winner at all. It'd be silly to give it to Nova with lower winning percentage.

I wonder if you might see the league change the rules after the year where if games are unequal instead of going to winning percentage it goes to games back in the standings.
Of course hopefully the cancels never happens again and teams play 20 always going forward- so it's a moot point.
