Since a lot of Big East fans complain about how Villanova gets all the calls I refuse to do the same. It is bush league after awhile. Nice win UConn! Great atmosphere. BS that Hurley got tossed. Happy to have Luke Murray and UConn back in the Big East. That was old school right there.

I thought the jump ball was absolutely a foul. The charge at the end was close IMO. Could have seen it gone either way.....

Will say that the UConn Coach Young- he did one hell of a job there. drew up 2 really nice plays there at the end.

Gillespie attempting to "do a Gillespie" and it backfired tonite.

Should have been over at that point. UConn needed everything to go right after that, and it did. Daniels missed the front-end of a 1-and-1. Gillespie got trapped in the corner and was in position to potentially turn it over. UConn made 2 huge buckets. Then Nova couldn't answer on the final play. Credit UConn for hitting those shots.

Personally, I hate the concept of a charge being a "good defensive play" anyway. An offensive foul should be illegal contact initiated by the attacking player, not a defender beating him to a spot by a fraction of a second so that it's impossible to avoid without stopping on a dime.

Meh. We've been burned on multiple late game calls this season. People put too much focus on the final call(s) of the game when blown calls happen the entire 40 minutes that are just as important to the scoreboard.

that was absolutely a stolen game. He was mugged, and the charging call at the end was one of the worst calls I have seen. Nova got robbed. Side note- why does covid only impact cheerleaders and band members? It's so stupid everyone has no masks except for them. thank goodness, the science knows it's only after those two small groups.
