I've heard some people believe there are schools (including Big East schools) that are still gaming the system by exaggerating the number of players they have in covid protocols because they prefer to be paused than to play shorthanded. I find this very frustrating as a fan of a team that's already taken 2 shorthanded losses and imagine healthy teams that keep getting games cancelled would find it frustrating as well.

It’ll be impossible to prove, but I think that sentiment is prevalent and coaches will do what is in their own self interest.

you just hope the league is full out aggressive in forcing makeup games.

Certainly impossible to prove and I get it to an extent. Taking SHU for example, do I think Willard would have much desire to play Big East games if the half of his team available was flipped? No way. For all we know, that may have been the case for the games that were postponed. The league doesn't ask for details, so if you have 7 guys available to play it's very easy to just tell them 6 and get the game postponed instead.

They must not be if they gave XU permission to try and schedule an OOC game that would have resulted in them playing less than the 20 league games.

Just saw the Jan 24 SJ/SH makeup at Walsh Gym will have only students in attendance. Probably will make it more of a home court advantage for Seton Hall you'd think.
