Except the NCAA doesn’t allow a school to park basketball in a separate league than it’s other sports.

People act like funding travel for Olympic sports is a deal breaker, but how many of those sports are making regular trips already? Gonzaga has to fly their teams to most or all of their league events already, right? A lot of people thought that the travel would be an issue for Creighton as we are on an island, but it doesn’t seem have to been one.
The COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference will take place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in Glasgow, UK.
The airline industry is facing (another) existential crisis. Beyond COVID-19, the world of investors and large corporate customers is changing in response to the broader demands for responsible operations, of sustainability, and ultimately of working to reduce the impact on the planet.
The airlines that understand these forces and the speed at which they are operating will be ahead of the pack in terms of being a suitable partner for capital and for customers. There is a synchrony here, in that the emerging airline competitive environment will place enormous pressures on airlines to reduce operating costs – which largely translate to reduced emissions, notably using new more fuel-efficient aircraft. COVID is the challenge of today and tomorrow, but climate risk, decarbonisation and ultimate corporate survival is the challenge that is – and should be – on the radar of airline boards and senior management.

Frankly, and they understand this, it's in Gonzaga's best interests to join the Big East now, or very soon, while they're strong.

I'm wonder if this is just vague talk by Ackerman to be non-committal but remain open if something does fall into our lap.
