Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall has resigned following an internal investigation into allegations of physical and verbal abuse, the school announced Tuesday.

The school and Marshall agreed to a contract settlement of $7.75 million to be paid over six years.

So WSU is paying the remainder of his contract for this year and next year to not coach. The school walks away and Marshall keeps all of his money. Terrific message it sends to those who were impacted and hurt by his actions, as well as the continual on-going lack of awareness (either intentional or ignorant) by the athletic department and university.

Wichita State will never reach the same levels of success that they had under Marshall. The AAC made a short-sighted and foolish decision in inviting them into the league, and, now, both parties will suffer long-term. WSU will become a middling program in the AAC, and the AAC still remains without the high-level basketball program it thought it was getting when they invited them to counteract the underperformance of teams in the league.

What a ****show.
