PS. I know better than to respond to her with anything other than "...hmmm...."

To be fair, the AP Poll isn't supposed to be 100% resume based. The best bracketologist had Xavier at #2 Seed, Tennessee at #6 Seed, and Kentucky at #8 Seed.

.
Tuesday, December 21, 2021: Villanova 71, Xavier 58

NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL NET RANKINGS – NCAA.com – games through Tuesday, December 21, 2021
NET Ranking Wed. Dec. 22, 2021 • NET Ranking Tues. Dec. 21, 2021 • Team

13 • 17 • Villanova
17 • 21 • UConn
18 • 11 • Xavier
27 • 26 • Seton Hall
31 • 32 • Providence

56 • 55 • DePaul
57 • 58 • Creighton
76 • 64 • Marquette

114 • 113 • St. John's
163 • 161 • Butler
169 • 166 • Georgetown

I’ve never been a big fan of NCAA Tournament predictions in December, but as of today, it looks like the Big East will get five teams in comfortably, with DePaul (9-1) and Creighton (9-3) needing to keep up the good work in conference play – particularly against the present bottom four teams - to make it seven teams dancing in March.

Still only one ranked ACC team, with Duke dropping to #8.

Pretty fair except Providence should be in the teens.

UCONN just needs to get some wins, and they'll shoot up in the rankings.

Providence dropped so much because teams just below them got such huge wins last week-
Nova over Creighton by so much
LSU over Kentucky and Tennessee
Texas Tech over Kansas
Wisconsin over Purdue, Iowa, and Maryland

I think also like it or not, the 32 point defeat by Marquette hurt Providence with the voters. I know Seth Davis mentioned that last night to a Providence fan last night about it.
