Just to be clear, there are ZERO folks on our board with the slightest concern of talent and quality of depth on the Xavier team 100 roster. 100% of the "anxiety" flows from the numerous question marks surrounding Travis Steele AND STAFF's ability to utilize the talent and successfully game plan at an Elite level.....IN GAME adjustments in particular. They have shown nothing to get excited about in any area of coaching in 3 years. The outstanding recruiting is the exception of course but that is more of the ability to "sell" the Xavier program than actual coaching IMO.

X is way overdue in whiffing on a HC hire.....haven't fired a coach in over 40 years!

Just now home after the Musketeer Madness event. Here's the scoop.

Top observation is that Nate Johnson is 100% healthy and looks next level good. FYI, it was revealed A few months back that he was playing injured all last year, but now is good to go and it shows. Hit 17 of 25 to win the 3 PT contest and hit 2 more in the scrimmage. Rock solid physical defender.

ZFree is hobbled. In a large walking boot AND on crutches. Can't see how he will be ready anytime soon. Not good because we have Ohio State and probably Memphis on the horizon.

Jack Nunge (Iowa transfer) did not play but did get on the floor for warm ups. He is a huge individual!

Jerome Hunter (Indiana transfer) is just WoW! Long, athletic, physical. Will be a matchup nightmare for most 3's. Seemed silky smooth with everything out there.

Dieonte Miles is ready for prime time. You all have no idea what this guy is about but you are going to be stunned. Nearly 7' with 2 years of S&C under his belt, he is very imposing. A complete athletic freak for a guy his size. I was very impressed with how he attacked the basket with no hesitation and could very well be the quickest rim runner in conference.

Dwon Odom JUMPED OVER the 6'7" Hunter and finished with a violent one handed tomahawk dunk, to make the dunk contest a no brainer. That was simply incredible and easily the high decibel mark for the night. Odom is destined for greatness!

Ben Stanley is now healthy and looked fantastic. You all didn't get to see much of him but he looks to be the strongest guy on the team....just a rock with an absolute chiseled physique. Scored 8 straight at one point. Finished with 10 angry points.

Kunk was in the moment and just oozes confidence..... I mean JP type confidence. This kid is just a flat out gamer.

Paul Scruggs was the best player in the building.

X definitely comes as advertised. Extremely deep and athletic at every position. If Travis Steele manages to screw this up somehow, Head Coaching at this level is not in his future.

Yea Dash, the scoreboard is insanely cool and absolutely HUGE. 4 massive screens in the best quality Hi Def imaginable! My daughter took some pics. I will see if I can figure out how to post them on XavierHoops. Cintas is ready to rock n roll....one of the finest arenas out there.

Well!
Other than Freemantle in a boot, this is ALL Great news! Happy to hear the players are improved & ready.
The other bigs should be able to p/u the slack while Freemantle is out. The non-conf is fast approaching.

Impressed by the scouting report and am betting it is accurate. Will be in on X vs TOSU (Gavit), Mempho (PreNIT), the other OSU,
and the rest!

Predicting Xavier starts 3-0 in conference play! Yes, even getting the rare W in Radnor! Nova will be reeling after
beatdowns @Baylor and @lilCreighton. Let's Go Muskies!
