The home for Big East hoops

Well it looks like we'll get the JV group of officials now:

Six of the most high-profile NCAA Tournament officials have been removed from this year's March Madness after a positive COVID-19 test and subsequent contact tracing efforts, sources confirmed to CBS Sports' Matt Norlander. Among those who were sent home include Ted Valentine, John Higgins, Kipp Kissinger and Roger Ayers.

All four officials rank in the top 12 of KenPom's season-long "officials rankings."

The referees were told to arrive by Sunday night to check into their hotel and were asked by the NCAA to stay there to follow protocols. Upon their arrival, however, their rooms weren't ready and there wasn't food. They were given permission to leave for dinner, and a sliver of the group went to a steakhouse in Indianapolis together that caused some of them to be removed by contact tracing. Only later when they returned to the hotel and took COVID-19 tests did they discover that one of the officials tested positive for the virus.

Here's a bet - which group will the NCAA champ come from:
1) Gonzaga or Baylor
2) Big Ten
3) The Field

what is funny- I'd probably pick The Field last.

I'd say Big Ten.

I suppose you're probably correct. The 1 seeds are all in the first two groups and I wouldn't want to bet on Houston as a 2 seeded best of the rest..

Give me the field. This is such a screwy year, I expect the madness to continue.

I think it's safe to assume that there's better chance of at least one B1G or the field team making the final four over Gonzaga/Baylor, but to actually win it? I'd go with Gonzaga/Baylor.

I’m taking Illinois. So Big Ten. Wouldn’t surprise me to see an Illinois vs Ohio State in one semi-final, and Bama vs Zags in the other. Unless of course it’s Bama vs Creighton.

The Field.

Only one 1-seed makes the FF. Baylor. They lose to Houston in the FF.
Jays v UConn winner over Houston for da Natty!

git's Final Four:
Baylor - South (Over Hartford, UNC-cheats, Purdue, & TT)
Houston - Midwest (Over Clev St, Clemson, SDSU, & Loy-Chi)

UConn - East (Over MD, Bama, Tex, and Mich)
Cr8n - West (Over UCSB, Ohio, Zags, & Oregon...)

Georgetown makes SS, loses to Michigan.
Villanova makes 2nd Round, loses to Purdue.

Thrilled to see longtime Creighton assistant Darian Devries lead Drake to their first tourney win in 50 years!

This was shared on the CU board but might get a chuckle from our UCONN fans:

Our old Bradley friend Mikovio on MVC board BEFORE the game wrote:

“ 2017 Shockers: “Can’t wait to go to a conference that’s respected with seeding!”
2021 Shockers: Wins AAC, shares seed line with MVC runner-up”

.... AND LOSES
