Pulled it out! Thought Odom's decision was going to cost the game but he made a great athletic shot to win it. In the immortal words of Al McGuire, the best thing about freshman is they become sophomores! Congrats, nice win.

Xavier looked awful. Agree with above comment.

Thanks Chap.

Bradley brought it. Childs is a solid b-ball player. Their 7-1 Center gave us some fits. And the Euro-guard was hot behind the arc. We didn’t shoot well at all - outside of Free and Scruggs.

2nd game of what will be a bizarre season. A W.

We move on.

I feel like the first half was more a case of exchanging wimpy slap for wimpy slap. At least both teams broke 20 by halftime. Xavier was undisciplined on offense in the first half, exacerbated by good pressure defense by Bradley, while at least they played good defense on the other end. Still, it kept Bradley in the game for quite awhile, enough for them to get into a rhythm and stick with it to the end.

I think Odom will be a player for sure and you just have to accept that Frosh are going to be Frosh. But clearly the kid has that killer / aggressive mentality. That’s a great trait to have. He’ll be a pain in the ass for the rest of us in due time. Paul played more like a Sr Alpha which you guys will need. Love Free’a game but he’s a bit like JRE for us that I think he’s more of a natural 4 but needs to play the 5. You guys got bullied a bit today. Against teams like PC and Marq, who have significant size, that might be a problem. You’re a young team; it’ll take some time and after all a win is a win.

Posh Alexander is my new favorite non-nova player.

This was a little more than just a win. Not only in how we survived but when considering the competition.... Bradley looks like they are going to be a very tough out. Will end up looking pretty good on our resume if we can scratch our way into the Big Dance conversation. Looks to be a Quad 1 win.

BTW, if that box score for X was a woman.....it would be Phyllis Diller. :D
