ACC tourney to Madison Square Garden?

Read on SI. Com that the ACC could try to steal MSG from the C7. If that happened would we take the earlier weekend, move to Brooklyn, or leave New York?

I really don't see how it matters if Thamel speculates on what the ACC or MSG needs. A quick browse and he's just saying what he thinks they should do if they were smart.

It reads as though his agenda is to stomp for the ACC and MSG to do this.

No one knows the high stakes of college sports better than the ACC, as the league already cannibalized the old Big East to the brink of irrelevancy. Why not rob the new Big East of its second biggest asset (behind its Fox TV contract) before it even begins?

Let Delany and the Big Ten settle for Brooklyn or Newark. Bludgeon the Catholic Seven before they even tip off.

If the ACC wants to talk about power plays to knock us down, so be it, I guess we should be flattered, but it's a bit amiss to see a major sports publication calling for one conference to hurt another.

Before we all panic the ACC has a deal through 2015.

It happens to be in NC were the heart of the ACC is. Plus there is no guarantee that the ACC will even be around in 2016.

Fox also has a working arrangement with MSG. They co-own a tv station and ect... I think people are panicking too much.

Well maybe panicking is a bit of a strong word... I just don't think we need to be concerned about this. Just start the league at 12 get 5-7 teams in a year and the MSG will be happy.
