Please let this not be true. Of all the traditions of the original Big East that one lonely 8 vs. 9 game on the first day of the Big East Tournament, which came to be known as the Seton Hall Invitational, is not the one I want to see return.

The meeting was apparently a prescheduled meeting of the presidents. I think the A-10 is trying to flush out who the other 2 schools that are leaving are. It was a "consolidation of members" meeting. Basically the A-10 is trying to figure out how to react they have decisions to make too, they probably figure that X and B are gone so they didn't need to include them. The X blogs mentioned this yesterday and apparently nothing really blew up on it there. ESPNs tweet is really making something out of nothing, unless you want to read this as confirmation that Butler and X are going. there is nothing here that suggests that this could be a 9 team, 10 team 12 team 16 team or 42 team league. Add that to a retweet of old news of supposedly teams preparing for a 16 game schedule and what you have is a slow news day. .. teams are starting to have their bubbles pop so now we can go back to rumors.
