Xavier beats Creighton 5-0 for the Big East conference championship.
Blue Jays were heavily favored. A freshman pitcher from Xavier takes out a very good Creighton team.
Everyone to Nathan's for a dog or 3!!!

Congratulations from a Jays fan. Just curious, is that your first BE championship? It would have been ours.

Thank you Wizard. Actually, that is at least our second championship, as the Men's swim team won the inaugural BEC for swimming earlier.
I have to say that I am very happy to be in a conference with Creighton. I have a great deal of respect for your school.

I echo Wizard's congratulation from a fellow Jays Fan! Best of luck in Regional Play. Go represent Big East Baseball in the NCAA Tournament. We'll be pulling for you to reach Omaha. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to get a bid, but I strongly doubt it.

Tough draw down in Nashville, playing the #10 ranked Vandy team at their park. What is Xavier's realistic goal for this Regional? I think one win would be superb, looking at the competition. With the games being relatively close in Nashville, I hope several busloads of fans make the trip to support the team.
The SEC has 10 teams in the tourney. That is amazing. My dark horse to make it out of the Regional round is Dallas Baptist.

With Xavier being barely over .500, not surprising draw. Given that it's at Vanderbilt, atleast it gives the fans a chance to trek down to Nashville if they want.
